Keith Meacham is currently in his 5th year of Architectural Engineering at Pennsylvania State University, University Park. In May of 2009 Keith will graduate with a Bachelors of Architectural Engineering (BAE), in the Construction Management Option. He has been involved in the American Indian Housing Initiative (AIHI) since sophomore year, where he volunteered on the Northern Cheyenne reservation (Montana). Keith also has been a member of The Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence, Student Chapter (S:PACE), for three years and an officer for two years. For S:PACE, Keith organized the annual construction trip, allowing students to see real buildings and systems at different phases of construction. Very beneficial interaction with industry members occurs at this time. Mr. Meacham has had three internships during his last three summers (06’, 07’, 08’), for three national construction companies. The first and third summers were spent with Turner Construction in their Philadelphia office and his second summer was with Barton Malow Company in their Linthicum, MD office (Baltimore area). Each internship offered a different look into the world of construction. The contracts were set up differently, so he has had experience as a CM agent, CM at risk, and GC. Keith has sat in on owner’s, safety, progress, bid, coordination, and contractor meetings. He has personally created and enacted punch lists, developed superintendent daily reports, and has assisted in monthly reports, change orders, and field directives. These experiences have been crucial in Keith’s professional development and will assist in his decision for full-time employment.

About Portfolio: The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web‐based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year‐long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engineering.
